Born Tomisha Rucker, Docther Hair has dedicated more than half her life to advancing in the career of cosmetology and beauty. Raised by a struggling single mother, her and her sister were not privy to salon visits as a child. Growing up watching the girls who would have a fresh relaxer and curls was not easy, but was okay knowing mama had tried her best. She would play all day on her dolls, combing their hair and dressing them up to have fashion shows; this was only the beginning of her imagination and chasing her wildest dreams. At about 12 years old, she decided to give her creative courage a spark, her and her older sister couldnt take another night with mama pinning a clip on ponytail and braids to the scalp. She picked up the comb and has not put it down since! Docther Hair has over 20 years of experience with hair care and customer support. Cutting edge asymmetrical bob cuts became her signature, branding herself the "bobkillaaa of memphis". As her career grew along with her passion and knowledge she soon specialized in healthy hair care, hair loss, alopecia, scalp disorders and diseases, as well as educating her community, family, and clients, and students on causes, treatments, and holistic cures for these intricate hair variables. Today she is the owner of The Pink Salon suites and has partnered with dozens of independent contractors to help pave the way to success in the beauty industry as well as the founder and co-owner of The Beauty Vault Institute of Cosmetology. Now she is a wife, mother, mentor, educator, holistic hair loss & scalp specialist, and serial entrepreneur.
